"Novy Svet", unlike our "Old Town" and our main pearls, Kolozha, the Farny Church, is a relatively young area, and it takes its origins from the 18th century, when large-scale reforms took place in our city of Grodno. This area of the city began to form precisely from that period of time. And from the end of the 18th century to the 1940-50s, the intelligentsia began to settle in this area of the city near the Yurisdika River. Military engineers, writers, poets and other representatives of this layer of society began to build. In this area, you can just immerse yourself and feel the whole life and color of the history of that period of time.
Usually, the houses are of different styles, and the reason for this is that Russians, Poles, Jews, Belarusians, and Germans lived here. They lived side by side in this area of the city and built various architectural landmarks. But first of all, “Novy Svet” is still the people who made life in our city better.
